I love to cook. I love to eat. I can't use the toaster without making a mess.

Woodson Cake & A Plug for Kaitlin
I coach little ones. Well, they're in high school, but they seem little to me. And I'm sure I seem little to some of you, but it's all relative, right? Well, they were a joy to coach, and being around them was always so fun and took me back to age 17, when everything was gravy except my 11:00 curfew.
They really raved a while back when I made my rainbow cake, so for their end of the year banquet, I absolutely had to recreate it. This time, red, white and blue, their school colors. It was a hit, if I do say so myself. Nothing like a little stroke to the ego. Here's a few pictures of the creation, and then something a whole lot cooler...
This picture reminds me of something straight out of Dr. Suess...
This chocolate just makes me happy
I couldn't decide if I wanted to do rainbow or the school colors so I asked one of the girls, who happens to be a WAY cooler baker than I am. Check out some of her stuff...
Yeah, she is super talented, and she's only a junior in high school! I have to brag a little bit. Not that I taught her this, but I taught her some soccer, so that counts for something! I'm impressed. Aren't you? Time to get ready to head to Georgetown with my girl frands. Happy Weekend!
So very impressed! Those cakes are beautiful...so many unique ideas and great colors!
Super cool! I love the checker board looking cake :)
I want a dr. seuss cake! And a checkerboard one! Can she make me something?
Wow! This looks sooo neat!!! I had to look back at your original post about the rainbow cake because I was so curious how you did it: genius! :)
