A Giveaway, Because I Love You!

Well my lovely readers, you've been patient. You've checked in with me throughout my absence from the blogging world and been right back here after I post.  As I sit at the dining tables in my big university cafeteria, I'm thinking I want to reward you for it.

You deserve it, you really do.
I also am turning 23 on Friday, and... well, I need your help. So here's the deal. CSN, who I have worked with before, is offering another giveaway. This time it's for $35.00 for you to spend as you wish. Go ahead and browse a little... you will like what you find.

As far as entering this little giveaway, I need you to do two things.

1. Publicly follow The Messie Kitchen on Blogger.
2. Leave a comment about what kind of birthday cake I should have for my big day. And please, feel free to link your favorite recipe. I'll be looking!

You can Tweet about The Messie Kitchen's giveaway for a bonus entry.

And because I love you so much, you can "like" The Messie Kitchen on Facebook for yet another bonus entry!

I will give you until Monday the 2oth to enter, so don't forget!

Happy Birthday! Virgos rock! Or are you a Libra? You are on the cusp. Which is a good thing because Virgos are the best.

Hey girl! I already follow you :) I know it's technically not a birthday cake, per se... but I went to a Bridal Expo with my friend this past weekend and tried a TON of wedding cakes... there's one called an Italian Wedding Cake... It has coconut and pecans in it and it's absolutely delicious. It had a very thin layer of vanilla custard on it. I haven't tried making it yet, but it's on my blog's Challenge list! Here's a link that I found that I am planning to try soon!

Good luck and happy birthday!!!

Happy Birthday girl! And yes...I already follow you too, how could I not! As for birthday cake? I would chose a carrot cake with a cream cheese frosting...but that is just because I'm addicted to carrot cakes...we served it at our wedding!

Happy birthday Jessie! I was just thinking about this the other day, mine is a month from now, I am thinking you should go with an ice cream cake, that could be nice and messy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! So, I think you should make a funfetti ice cream cake. I think you said funfetti is your favorite. I'd do layers of ice cream intermixed with layers of cake & then an awesome cream cheese frosting on top. Yeah, I'm all about gluttony on your birthday.

Happy Birthday!
I don't really have a favourite birthday cake...if I must have one, then a simple chiffon cake would be best for me.
I have been your follower since long.

Hi there! Happy birthday! :)

I don't know if I can join from the Netherlands but I'd try anyway.

If my birthday were today I'd make a cheesecake :) I have a recipe in my blog http://student-kitchen.blogspot.com/2009/08/cheesecake.html

I'm also super in the mood for a key lime pie at the moment

I think you should make a chocolate cake because you really can't go wrong with chocolate :)
PS: Already a follower, of course! :)

I'm a new follower, and I think German chocolate cake is the best for any occasion, although the frosting isn't the best for writing on and photographing. Sadly, I don't have a recipe for it, but I need to find one!

How about instead of a cake, you have a trifle. Requires no baking, and is divine. Here's my favorite recipe:

(PS no need to soak the lady fingers, just creates extra work)
