My First GIVEAWAY!!!

Hello readers! A lot has been cooking in my kitchen this week but it’s been a busy one so forgive me if my posts come in slowly.

On a sidenote, something way cooler than my cooking has happened.

I’ve been offered to do my first giveaway! I’m super excited about this because I feel so much more legitimate now. Go ego, go! I hope you’re as excited as I am, and I hope that you’re the winner! Yes you! So what is it, you ask?

One million dollars!

Minus some. But it’s close enough. The giveaway is $40 from CSN Stores and you can spend it on whatever you’d like. I’ve checked out their site and they have a ton of things that you would love to have in your kitchen. I’ve had my eye on a Dutch oven, an ice cream machine and a Crème Brûlée set, but that’s just me. The options are really endless at CSN's website. Check it out and see what you like!

To enter, all you have to do is publicly follow my blog, and leave a comment about what you'd like to see The Messie Kitchen cook next and what you'd like to spend your gift card on.Make sure you leave your email address so I can contact you!

You will have until Sunday, August 8th to enter and then the winner will be selected and mailed their moola to start spending! Enter now, and good luck!

Let's see, I'd like to spend the gift card on a new dish drainer. Not terribly exciting but mine's four years old and has seen better days and they have one exactly like mine... And, since you've got your eye on a dutch oven, how about making a fabulous dutch oven dessert? Or, better yet, my lemon lavender blueberry muffins - which are to die for :-) Hope the leg's doing MUCH better!! Kate

Oh, my. Anything? So many possibilities!!

I think I would choose either a ceramic pie dish or a pretty serving dish.

I hope I have the opportunity to make that difficult decision!

Thanks for your blog.....it's awesome!

well, I already follow your blog because it's great! :) And I'd say I would like to see something with tofu... because it seems logical for me to suggest :) Also, I think I would spend my gift card on a mini baker because I was just baking something and I didn't have a pan small enough! My email is lapuremama@gmail.com. Great giveaway!

I am already a fan and regular follower of your blog. I don't know where you find the time to do all that cooking! I would like to see you find the BEST recipe for a molasses/gingersnap cookie - I tasted the ultimate example years ago but have never found a recipe to duplicate the experience. I would purchase the Cuisinart griddle/grill since I had one once and loved it but it fell off a shelf, broke and I have never wanted to spend the money to replace it. $40 bucks would help!! Bon appetit!

Well Messie Kitchen I would love love love if you ventured into making some kind of Monkey Bread/ Sticky Bun creation, I think it would be a big hit @ the office. Also if I happen to win the prize I would probably spend it on a wine rack for the madre since her bday is right around the corner. Her collection of bottles by our standing mixer is a little too much clutter for me!

Keep the great posts coming, I more than enjoy them!

I'd use it toward a guidecraft kitchen helper. Thanks for the chance!

I follow on gfc

I'd like to see you make ice cream, because I LOVE ice cream.

Wow, very cool! I'd buy a springform pan. Been needing one of those for a while to make cheesecakes and such. Made one this morning, and could have used one!

Hmm, you have some delicious chicken recipes! But I'd love to see your take on chicken tacos. Many do fajita types, is there any other way? I ask because, when I was little, my grandma made lovely shredded chicken tacos, but I sadly never got the recipe and wondered how others made theirs.
I already follow your blog, and lurk alot, lol! Thanks for making such wonderful dishes!

I desperately need a new angel food cake pan. I have a great tried and true recipe that I used to make constantly (it belonged to my Aunt Rose). Would post it on blog for everyone to enjoy ofcourse! I would love to see you make gnocchi from scratch. I have a recipe from a woman in Italy for pumpkin gnocchi, but my hands are getting so bad from scleroderma I can't bring myself to do it. You say your messy, I say deliciously messy (especially after that red velvet post)!

Already a fan, but I'd like to see some of your favorite non-baking dishes. I can come up with a million things to bake, but I'm always looking for more food inspiration.

I think I'd put it towards a nice set of knives. Or a mortar & pestle.

I am now following.

I would love to see more meals made for the summer but using a crock pot. I don't have a huge amount of time to cook but it seems all the recipes are more suited for the cold weather.

I need a new blender so I think i would buy one of those with the certificate.

I also have my eye on one of those dutch ovens, gorgeous aren't they? However, I think I would put the $40 toward the Cuisinart 7 cup food processor. I have never had the pleasure of owning one, and I just know it would make life so much easier.

One thing I would love to see more on your blog is kid friendly recipes. My little one is 5 and she loves to help me out, but I am running out of new things to teacher her.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to enter my name into the giveaway. My email is in my profile, and oh yes, I am a follower.

Follower! How about Pasta Alla Norma?
And I really need a new blender since I dropped and broke ours, so that's what would be on my list to buy!

Jessie! I love the blog of course. Maybe you should try making polenta...no, just kidding. I am in a preserves kind of mood now that August rolled in.

I'd spend my cash on a nice ceramic baking dish- I just broke one and my heart broke with it:(
